John has dedicated himself to our sport of swimming and held multiple executive positions at club, branch and national levels since the late 1990s.
A talented swimmer from the 1980s, Jamie represented the club at age and open nationals before making a transition to surf. Jamie served as every member of the club committee, with the exception of President. Now living in QLD, he pops back to Darwin from time to time for a swim.
Mother of talented Darwin swimmer, Aimee Cantrell, who also represented the Territory in surf competitions. In 1997 Aimee won Darwin SLSC’s first Australian Surf Life Saving Championship medal at Kurrawa Beach QLD, with 2nd place in the U16 surf race.

Valerie has been a member of the Darwin Swimming Club since 2014. She has served on the committee in multiple positions since 2016, most recently as the Secretary.

Tim has been the head coach of Darwin Swimming Club since 2015. Tim has consistently demonstrated dedication, passion and professionalism in all swimming activities, and is a valued member of the wider swimming community outside Darwin Club.
